Light is the magical ingredient that makes or breaks a space

It is common sense to design your bedroom’s ceiling. Yet, for some reason, we mostly leave the ceiling just plain and bland. Not for long now. Let’s light up something new in your room of indulgence; let’s look at some ceiling light ideas for your bedroom.
Now, generally, the centre of a bedroom’s ceiling is fitted with a ceiling fan. So a good design tip is to plan your light fittings around the ceiling fan position and style. And my suggestion here – Let your light shine, start with your bedroom design. Here are four ways to design bedroom ceiling lights
Pendant light
You may know this as a hanging light or an elaborate chandelier – pendant style lights are a fantastic way to explore the height of your bedroom ceiling. Add these as a focal point at one of the special corners of your room. Suspend a pendant light near a window, or around your activity zones like dressing table, study desk, or your lounge chair. And, make sure you have fun choosing your style of pendant light- there are just too many types available. I am sure you will enjoy finding your piece of art in pendant lights.
Uplighter
Do you remember the pinching glare in your eye when a torch in flashed on your face? It’s not at all comforting or desirable, especially for your bedroom. Say hello to Uplighters, and thank god we made them. These styles of light have one motive – to brighten your room with plenty of light, without making you see its striking glare. Basically, it’s your normal LED light fixed facing upwards towards the ceiling. Events such as weddings and festivals use an elaborate version of uplights for decoration. Home interiors use an uplight for a calm and consistent lighting effect with just a pinch of drama.
Downlighter
Any ceiling light that faces downwards to the floor is a downlight. Usually, these types of lights come in two fitting types. First is the surface mount style that gets fitted on the ceiling. The second one is the recessed style. As the name suggests, the recessed fitting rests inside a false ceiling panel. Both styles are equally efficient and style-savvy. Your choice depends on the type of ceiling you have – a false ceiling or RCC slab ceiling.
Cove lights
Cove lights are the designer’s trick to light a room like a magician. Okay, that’s a bit exaggerated. Cove lights are the hidden light fixtures inside a POP ceiling design. This style brings a level of luxury and sophistication to your room.
